Classroom Rule:

Agenda Books & Homework Folders:

In third grade we have one rule, think before you talk or do! The students are responsible for monitoring their own behavior in and out of the classroom. The students monitor their behavior and are rewarded for making good choices. In third grade we want our students to be responsible and respectful learners. By following this one rule, we will be able to create an enjoyable and positive classroom environment.

  •  Agenda books and homework folders are to go home and be returned to school daily.

  • Students are required to write all their assignments daily.

  • I do check the agenda books every day, so if there are any questions or notes, the agenda book would be the best way to contact me.

  • I do ask that you sign the agenda book every evening so that I know you have seen the homework assignments and any notes.

  • Students are responsible for stuffing their own folders. Please check it daily for any important papers or notices.

ELA Homework:

Students are required to complete literature group assignments.

  • It’s the student’s responsibility to read the assigned pages in their chapter book.

  • During the first assignment, students will find a vocabulary word in their chapter book and define it using a dictionary.

  • The second part of the assignment, students will complete an interactive notebook that reinforces a skill taught during a mini-lesson.
